After a career in advertising, Evelyn studied art and design and then began painting as a botanical watercolour artist. Painted at actual size, her subjects vary enormously from flowers to fruit and vegetables. Evelyn has exhibited internationally and has illustrated educational reference books. She has been awarded seven Royal Horticultural Society medals for her work. Evelyn’s work can be found in the collections of the Lindley Library, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, The Royal Hospital Chelsea and Shirley Sherwood.
